CULTURE NIGHT BELFAST

As part of the Culture Night Belfast, we were invited to the Hit the North Streetart Festival – taping on two spots in Belfast. After driving through Belfasts surrounding and hearing old tales about the giants, living in the mountains we decided to pick up the topic and put it into our first artwork. On top of the Bullitt Hotel we taped a giant- and a human hand connected through an abstract wavy pattern, using only white tape on black surface. Our second artwork was inspired by a piece of Belfasts history – The Titanic was built here. In an abstract, deconstructive way we used foils and tape to cover the glass-facade of a bar called Blaklist. Playing with colourful translucent foils also gave the inside of the bar a whole new variation of light.
